Dirty, ripped curtains, stained beds, broken windows...Staff were friendly and bar was nice, though.

Very nice and quite comfortable hotel with a beautiful view from windows. We were staying in rooms 6 and 7, and enjoyed the view to the city and to the sea. The room is equipped with a kettle, coffee and tea making facilities, a TV, a shower with toilet, wardrobe and drawers. The beds are soft and comfortable. Downstairs there is nice pub with different kind of beer, billiard and etc. Good and quite cheap place to stay! Food & drinks: Now far away there is an Chinese restaurant with tasty food to take away!

It is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable plus friendly staff and locals. The bar has a great range with great prices .

Lovely staff. Some down stairs rooms accessible without stairs. Rooms are very clean, most are en suite, one had own bathroom across the hall. Walkability: Near the seaside about 10 minutes walk. Cafes nearby.

Great experience staying at this hotel last night, staff all polite and pleasant, room clean and tidy. Only thing i have to say is that only maybe 5 or 6 channels work on the tv. Other than that completely positive experience.

Really nice 'proper' pub, with very friendly staff and customers, nice atmosphere and good draught beer. Stayed for one night, 3 adults in 2 rooms - nice comfortable rooms, with comfortable beds and bedding, tea & coffee making facilities (with mugs!), good sized bathrooms, tv and a sea view! Very good value for money, would definitely stay again.

I just spent a weekend in Ramsgate with some friends. I can't recommend this place more highly given the price you pay (which is very reasonable). Sure, it is not a Marriott, but we had a clean, comfortable and warm room. The water was hot, and it had a good a shower. Last, but not least, what was truly great was the owner. When we were over 1.5 hours late at night, he stayed up and helped us out with the keys, past midnight. When there was some confusion in our booking, he did his best to help us out, and dealt with it fairly. I am honestly quiet surprised with some of the other reviews, as everything was good. If I stay in Ramsgate again, there will be only one place to stay: Hotel de Ville!
