I am the Site Rep for these allotments and they are an oasis of calm. The plot holders are gentle, patient folk who all get along and care for each other. There are diverse species of birdlife, plant life and bees. Allotment keeping requires 20 hours a week on average all year around and is not cheap. They require persistence and physical hard work in all weathers. And the plots are bigger than people imagine. Dont listen to Monty Don either. And No Dig requires money and as much effort as digging. Otherwise let Ramsgate Town Council know you would like to go on the waiting list and we will welcome you!!
